Varner holds the top of the Charles Schwab Challenge

The bad start of the second round on 12/6, but African-American golfer Harold Varner still managed to lead the transcript of the PGA Tour event in Texas.
Sharing the top of the table at -7 with Justin Rose after the opening round, Varner came from the 10th hole of the Colonial yard and encountered something bad. In this hole, the shot of a 29-year-old golfer deviated sharply to the right, through the jungle and onto the bridge across the shallow creek that crosses the fairway. You have to free the ball and take a penalty.
Next, the second swing of Varner to put the ball on the green to find the sandpit. After escaping the trap, he spent three more putt – put the ball and score triple bogey. It took him a total of seven strokes to finish the par4 entry hole (four standard strokes).

After the triple bogey, I was fighting for my life. But even if you get stuck, you can’t live in the past because it’s hard to learn anything,” Varner said. The world-ranked 124th Golfer then solved the problem himself with three birdies and did not lose an additional stick in the next six holes.
PGA Tour chose the 8:46 am mark every day as a memorial moment to commemorate the African-American citizen George Floyd. Meanwhile, at hole 16, Varner has the opportunity to save a stick from the ball position 0.9 meters from the crater. However, he had to stop because he heard three sirens to signal 60 seconds of silence.
“I want to put the ball in the hole to get to even par points in the round. But it’s great that PGA Tour has such activity,” Varner commented.
Then Varner was satisfied with a birdie putt at hole 16. After the bogey at hole 9, he scored 5 more birdsies and did not lose more sticks during the second half, then closed the round with a 66-stick scoreboard. Since the PGA Tour applied the ShotLink system in 2003 to round-up statistics, this is the best transcript of a golfer who joins with a triple bogey. With that achievement, Varner alone kept the top position at -11.
Jordan Spieth and Bryson DeChambeau both played 65 strokes, sharing T2 at -10 after 36 holes.
The best round went to Rory McIlroy with 63 strokes. As a result, the world’s number one golfer jumped 35 steps, to the T4 group with a score of -9, next to Colin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele.

Unlike Varner, Justin Rose saved only one club in all 18 holes. Therefore, he fell 6 steps, to T7 and three strokes below the top of the table. This group has Gary Woodland – US Open champion and world champion Justin Thomas.
Im Sungjae is in the T19 group with six strokes less than Varner. Im leading the FedEx Cup race with $ 15 million for the champions. World number three Brooks Koepka could not make a breakthrough when reaching -4 in the T25 group.
